Two bodies of work explore the notion of transient experiences. We increasingly have the desire and opportunities to explore. Whether within the boundaries of our native country or beyond, these works intend to capture "symbols" of exploration within the landscape.

For the Brighton Photo Fringe three South East based photographers come together to produce an exhibition for Grey Area’s unique and intimate gallery space. The exhibition will contain a selection of work taken from existing and new unseen pieces. The artists intend to re-contextualise their work to respond to the Grey Area’s gallery space whilst still exploring the core themes of their practice. Expect responses to the ideological modernist space, examinations of the mundane, ephemeral and the everyday and work that addresses the universal relationship we all have with the unconscious.

A group show of moving image and sound work installed in this resonant deconsecrated church. Using the immediacy of digital technologies whilst referencing the language of film, these early career artists explore the photographic gaze, natural instances and recollections of times past.
